A Statement of Advice (SoA) is a document used by financial planners and advisers to set out the advice given to a client, including the basis of the advice given, details of the advising council, and information regarding payments that the adviser will receive. The purpose of the statement is to ensure the client is well informed prior to deciding whether or not they wish to rely on the advice given.
